Ok, so you have done your homework & researched your idea.
And now you are searching for a developer…
So where do you start? Should you look overseas or go local…
This decision will come down to several points that should be considered, here are some.
- Your experience in managing developers overseas, do you have the skills to hire & manage them?
- Budget will be a big factor when you compare overseas rates, yes 50% to 80% cheaper, but you pay for what you get.
- Security, privacy and trust of your IP may also be a factor.
- Tax obligations or R&D claim you may also need to look into
There are several sites today that can help you find local or oversea developers.
Upwork’s, freelancer, Toptal & Fiverr, but always ask your network for a recommendation.
If you are thinking about hiring overseas then I recommend completing a small task first, reviewing customers’ feedback & previous projects.
Note communication is the key when working abroad…
Happy building….
